A Thank you from Lex

Dear IES,
Thank you very much for giving me the IES male senior scholarship. It
will help me out here in Missouri. I love the college here and feel very
priviledged to have a chance to swim with a Division 1 school. Without
Inland Empire's support I know I would have never made it here. I just
hope my years of swimming here can be almost as rewarding as the many
years I spent in the Inland Empire.
Thank you all very much.
Sincerely,
Lex Howard

Dear IES Committee,
I want to thank everyone very much for the
scholarship money I received from you all last year. For the past year
I have been attending Fordham University in the Bronx, NY and I absolutely
love it. The big city holds so many opportunities and I love being surrounded
by them. I also am a member of the Fordham University Varsity Swim Team.
Out team as a whole did very well this year. We placed fourth at our Atlantic
10 championship meet in Buffalo, beating out previous 7th place from last
year. Individually, I placed 6 in the 200 IM and 11 in the 100 free. I
was able to be a part of three relays taking a second, third, and fourth.
Collegiate swimming is a whole new experience and I am so happy to be
a part of it, especially at Fordham. Thank you so much for giving me the
scholarship, it helped in every way throughout the year!
Thanks again,
Sincerely,
Brittany Nuess

Dear IES,
I would like to thank Inland Empire Swimming
for awarding me with the Inland Empire Senior Male Swimmer Scholarship.
As I think back over all the time that I have spent swimming in the IES
programs, I realize that swimming has taught me many lessons in and out
of the pool. From learning to deal with competition to having a strong
work ethic, swimming and IES have shaped me into the person that I am
today. So once again, thanks to all who have been involved over the past
years. Your desire to help others and your love for the sport of swimming
has not gone unnoticed.
Sincerely,
John Byers.

Dear IES,
Thanks to all of you
guys for helping me out to go to Jrs. & Nationals this summer. You
guys were the reason I was able to go to both swim meets. When I was at
Nationals I qualified for the Jr National Team which in January I will
be going to Australia. That was by far my favorite meet ever. I got to
see Michael Phelps set the American record in the 400 Free and world record
in the 200 IM.
Thanks again,
Sinncerely,
CJ Nuess
